Grimes is a prolific songwriter\, having released 4 albums of original songs and having won a national songwriting contest in 2011. He has also been a finalist in the Na Hoku Hanohano Music Awards in Hawaii. His original songs range in styles from folk to funk\, from blues to bossa nova.\n  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				ABOUT CASANOVA MAKAWAO\nSince 1986\, Casanova Makawao has been at the heart of the Upcountry Maui lifestyle.
